Remember that I had hoped for a peaceful weekend? Well, it turns out, that for some reason, despite no power cut; we spent a whole week with no internet, which turned quite annoying because it was an important week in terms of university applications. But anyways, not here to complain about that...So last week was Holy Week… This here means a lot, as people are quite religious. It consists of a school holiday on Thursday and Friday, and fasting both days plus the weekend as well. But fasting is not like to Muslim fasting during Ramadan, it consists of fasting only between meal times, so, when you wake up you cannot eat or drink anything until midday, then you get an hour to literally stuff yourselves, and then you can eat again at around 18.30, when it gets dark. I spent these days in the countryside with a very nice family. This was the second time I spent a weekend with them, and I absolutely love it! This family has 5 daughters and 1 son, and they took me on like I was just another daughter. The girls were all extremely nice, and I had lots of fun with them. This family is still one of the local farmers, they keep numerous animals and have a few crop fields as well.
