After about 2 hours of sleep we woke up around 4 in the morning to leave Rome. Our flight wasn't until 6 but we had to catch the shuttle bus to the airport. Surprisingly we had no trouble getting on our flight! Once we arrived back in Paris it was rainy, windy, and cold; a total 180 from Italy and we were very underdressed. Tori and I took the metro straight to meet Amber, Nicholette, Buoyana, and Kayla at a flea market in Paris that Tori and Nicholette read about online. It wasn't exactly what we thought so we only stayed for a little and then took the metro to Versailles. It was beautiful and I'm so happy I got to see it! As soon as you walk up the huge cobble stone street and enter into the castle yards the view is amazing. You see a huge fountain surrounded by pretty green gardens and flowers everywhere. A little beyond that there's a huge pond with people paddle boating. We took a long time to explore all the little walkways and saw a lot of intricate sculptures and shrubbery. Tori and I had to drag our huge luggages bags around too and this place was huuugee! And like a giant maze. I couldn't imagine living there; I would get lost everyday. With such sore arms and legs we obviously had to reward ourselves with the famous Lauduree's macarons. Yummy! We took lots of pretty photos throughout the day and also got to watch a fountain show as water danced in tune to some nice classical French music. Even though we had been up since 4 in the morning, Versailles was such a sight to see and the experience kept us wide eyed. Until we hit the metro that is and we both passed out woops!
