Well, you people would be proud of me, especially Smokey... I had a hot bag this morning. For those of you that don't know, a hot bag is a tasty warm bag of food type delicacies from ol' Ronnie McDons at the golden arches. I've managed to avoid his sinful delights for the duration of my trip, but when faced with the difficult challenge if choosing between paninis and Chinese food at 10am in the airport, Mr. McD got my vote.
On a more interesting and exciting note, I am sitting on the back of an amazing (I'm not sure how to say this without sounding weird), completely wooden, luxury sail boat that looks like a pirate ship. It is the most beautiful boat I have ever seen. Apparently "Brangelina" rents this yatch sometimes... are they still together? ...you know I dont follow these types of things :P
My room at the villa is small, circular and on the roof. I go up this staircase along the exterior side of the house- it's really cool. The ceiling has these small square skylights that let in natural light. There are some resident snails in the ceiling notches and some spiders, geckos and other interesting bugs. It bothered me at first but I have no choice but to embrace it! It is windy and quiet up there and there is a rooftop terrace that has a beautiful view of the stars at night. Also, there's a fan- yay!
Tonight there was a dinner party at the house and I'm going out dancing with some French girls that I met. It is much needed after the rigamoral (sp?) to get my car because the car company wouldn't accept my license! I lost it in June and had a duplicate issued, which lists the issue date at June, 2012. They want to see that the issue date is longer than 1 year... this was tough for me considering I have been driving for over 15 years! Anyway, after waiting for Canada to wake up and a quick call to ICBC (which probably cost me a hundred dollars a minute), they sent the necessary documentation and I buzzed away in my Fiat 500.
I only have 4 nights left on my European adventure and then it's back home and back to work. It's hard to believe I've had all these different adventures wrapped into one trip.
