I arrived into New Zealand last night about 7.30ish. Apparently there is a time different because its now daylight saving or something. so im only 11hours ahead of you guys now.

I think it was probably the smoothest entry to a country ever, immigration was empty, had no questions of me working and same in customs, my bag was waiting for me when i got to the carousels and then went straight to the shuttle bus. i must have been out within 10mins i think. id recommend Auckland airport. Met a couple from the hotel and we got the same bus to turns out...the same hostel.

the hostel is bang in the center of auckland a 20second walk from the main street. It reminds me of england alot, its nowhere near as hot as fiji, there is cloud in the sky and the people all speak english.

today has been a day of sorting out my time here. ive opened a New Zealand bank account...although have no idea how to transfer money to it from home. A question for later! Ive also booked a flight to chirstchurch tomorrow afternoon. im going to job hunt down there and hopefully have a job for christmas and a nice place to stay.

ive also booked the kiwi experience, a hop on and hop off bus tour. ive had so many recommendations from people that have come from here that i couln't say no. found somewhere that had a 25% discount, so i came out of the travel agent with a big smile.

internet is alot easier and cheaper here which is excellent...and my international phone now works!!!!!!! woooooooo.
