Yes I know...2 posts in 1 day!! Crazy I know. After that very brief catch up of what I'd been doing for the last 6 days or so i realised it was very vague and that I should try to keep up!
As I have very easy access to the INternet very cheaply I thought I should make the most of it.
Today has been a days of relaxing and taking in the place I have arrived in. The staff are absolutely lovely and the location could not be better. I think I only moved twice from my hammock...once to buy something for lunch and second to get ready for dinner! It is the most relaxing place ever, despite already finishing my book, I didn;t need a book to keep me occupied. The waves out at sea and chatter of everyone else was enough to amuse me for the whole day.
I just witnessed one of the most awesome sunsets (of course I have some stunning phoots!). Although it looks very typical with a hammock, palm trees and the funny shaped boat that seems to be on all the posters!
Ive met a few people but have mostly kept to myself because of jetlag and generally getting my bearings (I like to know where I am as a geographer!). My two roommates are lovely, both from Holland, one of which is...check this out...a nurse, in a prison, at an airport!! Sounds like an exciting field of work! It doesn't seem to be quite a rocking place, people seem very chilled reading their books or batheing in the super warm sea! I now have a new book which ive borrowed (and is falling to pieces) from the creator of spooks. i read 2 pages and it looks pretty action packed!
anyway Im beginning to ramble now. Its 8pm, the sun set about an hour ago and I can hear the cicardors (poor spelling) chirping away. oh and finally...I CAUGHT SOME SUN!! maybe a little too much on my legs, but all the same its nice being outside in the dark in just shorts and tshirt...im thinking of you all wrapped up warm round the fire!
Speak to you soon
