Hi Everyone

Arrived in Beijing this afternoon, about 8am your time -long journey but well worth it. Qatar Airline is amazing, we were greeted with complimentary drinks, nibbles and as many hot towels as you could ever want. We've both said we couldn't go back to Easyjet or Ryanair after this! The journey was also made slightly more bearable by the fact that on each leg we had a particularly handsome tall and dark haired flight attendent! When we first got to Doha for our transfer we were met with 40 degree heat (that was 8pm). After being on both flights we now know how it is to be the ethnic minority.

Had an 'interesting' taxi journey to the hostel-he almost ran over at least a dozen cyclists, and almost got in a fight with two army trucks. Never the less we arrived safe and sound, just in need of food and a hot shower. Tomorrow we're aiming to visit the Forbidden City and Tianammen Square. We'll let you know how it is.
