Hello, just to let everyone know that we're ok. Arrived on the island Koh Samui today. Biggest decisions so far in the past few days is deciding our tanning regime and when to take a swim in the sea! Our last day in Kanchanaburi was a very busy one. There was too much for us to see by ourselves so we joined a tour and managed to do everything in one day. After an 8am start, we headed for the Erawan Waterfalls. It's a stunning 7 tier waterfall in the middle of a National Park. We spent a couple of hours there. We've seen monkeys, elephants, pandas and now tigers! Today, we went to the tiger temple. After a half an hour trip we went down to the monestry where many wild animals were cared for by monks including tigers. The tigers have been desensitzed by humans, and apparently as long as you dont wear colours such as red, orange or pink, you can happily stroke them whilst theyre sleeping in the midday sun. Hi Everyone We've now left Chiang Mai and are in Kanchanaburi (about 150 miles west of Bangkok). On our last night in Chiang Mai we found a good bar with live music right on the riverside. We also ran into a couple from Belgium who we had met on our elephant trek the day before. Instead of getting the train back to Bangkok we got the bus - big mistake! Hi Everyone How to describe yesterday? Mad, busy, and chaotic.... Started off with an orchid and butterfly farm (the tame part of the day), pretty small but interesting. The locals made jewellery from the orchids by drying, pressing and glazing them - really beautiful. Throughout the day we visited 5 or 6 different hill tribes.
