Hey Everyone,
Well here is the last blog entry for Cairns as we are packing our bags and leaving Monday ready for our next adventure. Me and dean are travelling down the east coast of Australia in a 4 berth camper van!!woop woop. Were both very excited, we have loved Cairns but its defiantly time to move on and start seeing some more of Oz.For my birthday dean brought me 2 Cd's the script and kings of Leon which I will be blasting from the car stereo!!
Lots to report on here since the last time I wrote, Deano had his 30th birthday on the 3rd of August, it was a lovely day we rented a car for the day and went to a beautiful national heritage listed park called paronella Park, which was built by a Spanish man for his lover (very romantic!) we then drove to see a waterfall (unfornunantly it was raining so we couldn't swim : ( ) Finishing of the evening at a steakhouse where Dean devoured the biggest rump steak on the menu.
For Deans Birthday he was brought a skydive by his dad and step mum and little brothers (which were still gobsmacked about!) what a fab present Dean was so excited.
When we arrived at the office dean was all strapped up in his gear then whisked off in a van to the plane while I was safely transported to the landing field where I would be watching from a safe height!! Dean was the first to jump and for what seemed like forever all I could see was a white speck in the sky then gradually the colour of the parachute came into view, I don't know why but I was more nervous then him. When he landed he had the biggest grin on his face and his words were "that was amazing!". As you can see I took lots of pics and he was very brave and not nervous at all (yeah right!)
So again a massive thank you to Dad, Colleen and the boys xxx maybe I will pluck the courage to do one soon.....
Next up was my birthday on the 21st August, It was such a emotional day I missed you lot so much.Dean spoilt me rotten got loads of pressies but one of the most special ones was a book with all messages from my family and close friends, it was lovely and I will always hold it close to my heart.
Anyways after a pancake breakfast dean told me what my bday surprise was a trip out on the reef to see humpback whales. I really cant describe how amazing the day was but it was!!we saw over 15 different whale.
At one time the mother whale brought her baby right up to the boat a truly humbling experience which I will never forget. In the evening we went to Bushfire A very popular restaurant in Cairns where they carve all the meats at the table and you help! Me and Dean both tried Kangaroo (we both wasn't that keen we have to say!) Pics are all up so you can have a look at the day, but it was unforgettable to me, only thing which could of made it better was to share it with my family xxx
as you can see busy few weeks for us, wish us luck on our road trip (deans driving!!!Dean hasn't told them about rolling his car 4 times back in January!) Will update you all soon.
All our Love Emma and Dean xxx
