Hope you guys are all OK and enjoying the rain?? : (
Dean has put loads of pics up today so hope you all like them, if any of you are wondering what goon is it is cheap boxed wine!! Everyone drinks it over here well i say everyone just the travellers. However I have quite a acquired taste to it now!lol
Dean and I have been busy little chickens the last week or so we have now moved out of the hostel we was staying in and moved into a shared house it is fab!! The house is owned by Deans manager @ work so we have a lovely landlady and the house is beautiful. Our bedroom overlooks the Esplanade and the sea and we have windows looking out all around the bedroom, we also have pool out the front!!
Deans working his little butt off I got slightly messed around with the job I was at with the owner so i went for another interview last Sunday at the Coffee Club and got the job!woop woop. I have been guaranteed 40 hours plus a week which is great as we just want o save save save before we start moving down the coast.
Dean was lucky enough to get a car from work for the last 6 days so we have been cruising around and will slightly miss 4 wheels when we have to give it back tomorrow!
We've managed to have some lovely days out though on Friday we visited the tablelands which is North of Cairns. Tablelands is a mountain peek which lots of villages and national parks and waterfalls. The drive was slightly scary going up the mountain but we saw the most beautiful views at the Barron falls and had a lovely walk around one of the national parks in Kurranda. We couldn't see it all though in one day and would love to return again before we leave Cairns.
On Saturday we went to see some crocodiles at Hartley's crocodile farm. It was a fab day. It was there 75th birthday celebrations that day so we was treated to a sausage sizzle, free drink and piece of chocolate birthday cake (which was massive and shaped as a giant croc!have a look at pics...) secretly I think the free food was the highlight off the day for dean as he walked around for the rest of the day pleased as punch!! : )
Obviously we saw lots of crocs which was very very scary we went on a boat ride and the zoo keeper was hanging chicken off the back of the boat and these crocs were actually jumping in the air to get them! We also saw some Koalas which were cute and lots of other weird and wonderful Aussie wildlife.
As you can see from the pics life in Oz is treating us well we have made some lovely friends already, had a lot of days down t the lagoon, drunken nights and memories to last a lifetime.
Dean is slightly missing the footie and keeps trying to get me to play I told him I am not Andy, Kev or j and he will just have to find some other boys to play with!lol
The 3rd of August is approaching very soon, which is a very important date as its Deans birthday not only is it his birthday but his BIG 30!! (Deans not gonna be happy with me writing this!!) Its going to be slightly strange celebrating it in Oz but I took him shopping today for some new clothes and we've both got the day off on Monday so that will be a special day.
SO PLEASE ALL WISH DEAN A VERY HAPPY BIRTHDAY ON THAT DAY WITH ME XX
Anyways I must be off as me and Dean are off to the cinema tonight.
Take care, love you all,
Emma & Dean xxx
