The photo you see above is actually me hanging from a bit of elastic - i did a bungi jump!
5pm Sat
I think that this bus trip is either going to bankrupt or kill me, not sure which. Yesterday went from Auckland - Rotorua, via Waitomo, where i visited some glow worm caves, (maggots glowing in the dark basically) was quite good had a little trip in a boat through the river. Went to watch an Angorra Rabit being sheared, this was free, they have to do it 4 times a year otherwise the rabits die! Last night went to a Maori village evening which was well worth it, finished off with an all you can eat buffett, had lots of fish, chicken and lamb - which was really good. Dessert was steamed pudding, which had to have 2 bits of. Got back to Hostel at 11pm, sharing with some Scottish girls and a girl from Manchester, everyone on the bus is really nice and friendly.
Bus left a 8.45 this morning, went to see mud pools and a Geyser, forgot to say that Rotorua stinks of rotten eggs, due the geo-thermal activity. Hadn't planned to do the Bungi, spur of the moment thing, it i had time to think about it tho i prob wouldn't have done it! I still had to ask the bloke to push me tho, as couldn't jump myself - needless to say screamed all the way, which you can see on the DVD when i get home! Wouldn't want to do it again but glad i did it. Got to Taupo about 3pm, wondered round the lake a bit, going to have an early night i think so tired.
The countryside here is so much like home, i keep forgetting i'm the otherside of the world. The bus driver's sister married a cornishman and lives in Truro!
Added more photos for you to look at, i'm getting quite clever and taking photos of signs first so i know what everything is, so when looking at them, if i havn't commented, the sign of what it is is first, then the photos.
