Have been a bit slack in updating this journal so here goes. I left Townsville and spent new years on Magnetic Island - didn't go to the big backpackers party because all the tickets had sold out but i wasn't fussed and it was all house music anyway which isn't me. I've arrived in Townsville today and will be here over new years, not sure what i will do on new years eve yet though! Anyway Airlie was good and the sailing over christmas was great - although as it was so calm there wasn't a great deal of actual sailing - well at a great speed anyway. But it was a really nice way to spend christmas and completely different from if i had been at home - not that it really felt like christmas. Now i'm in Townsville tho...

I've been in Brisbane for nearly a week now and have wandered around the city a fair bit, going over to South Bank and also strolling around the botanical gardens and along the river.
