Hey guys,
I´ve just arrived in Nazca.
I spent the first day and half in Lima between the down town area and Milaforas and in the eve met the rest of my group to talk about what we will be up to over the next couple of weeks. We had our first taster of Pisco Sours, a local brandy with Lime, Egg Whites and Sugar.....it tastes as nice as it sounds!
Whilst on our stroll around Lima we were stopped by the police and asked to produce our passport and visitors pass.....was pretty scary at the time!
From Lima we headed to Pisco.... a 4 and hour hours drive south. There wasn´t all that much to do or see. It was hit badly by an earthquake about 5 years ago and it still hasn´t recovered.
From Pisco we headed down to Nazca, en route we stopped into a traditional vineyard and had our second taster of Pisco, this time 5 different kinds....one which was more wine like, 2 pretty strong ones 30-40%, one mixed with vanilla and a pre mixed Pisco and Lime for Pisco Sours.
From there we headed a little further south to the desert in Paracas for an afternoon playing in sand buggies and boarding on the dunes......its harder than it looks but fantastic fun......and at last blue skies away from the haze of Lima.
Tomorrow I hope to fly over the Nazca lines and sometime soon I will get myself onto a comp where i can upload some pics for you all
