Hiiiii Cuties,
Currently sat in Sydney airport waiting to board.. We've had a wander around duty free and all the pretty make up and clothes.. Josie was in a trampy mood and wore her snuggie blanket around all the posh shops. I tried to disown her but she kept following and following! Our next stop is Los Angeles aka Liz's chance to stalk a celebrity.. Glitz and Glam in the hot spot that is LA! Going to meet my beautiful bestest friend Miss Sophie Irvine for her to join our trip for the next two weeks as I have missed her greatly since I've been gone! This means party time with the robot in tail :) ...
The 13 hour flight was relatively painless.. Qantas have a good selection of entertainment.. I made
my own little playlist of N*Sync, Whitney, Spicegirls, Britney... Sound of music soundtrack.. You know, the usual choice of songs for me.. I also got a bit sentimental leaving Sydney and listened to Kylie & Jason - "Especially for you".. Bye bye Sydney! Also, read some more of Michael McIntyres autobiography, which is hilarious!!! I've never laughed out loud so much to a book.. I think I want him to live with me just for entertainment purposes and to see his hair bounce up and down... Definitely a recommended read. And the geek inside of me was loving David Attenborough's documentary's.. All exciting news, I know!
Miss Irvine has landed and her aeroplane story beat Goon's hands down! ... It involved being upgraded, dodgy middle eastern men, holding up the whole plane, paramedics and taxi drama's.. But she's now with us safe and sound.. Ready to rumble at 7am for our Calaforniaaaaa Tour... Exciteeeeed!
Day One of our planned trip is hereeee.. Up at 5am to make our way to Kyoto Grand Hotel, LA to meet our group! We headed on our coach to San Diego baby, where we spend our next two days! It's a really pretty place- half city and half harboury (if that's a word) ... Stopped at Balboa park with lots of museums to visit then headed to a mall.. Really nice mall as it was outside with lots of designer shops.. Wacko would've been in heaven! As I'm pretty good at embarrassing myself.. I only made a comment about a passing man's bulge, as you do, and pretty sure the tour guide heard me! How extremely embarrassing.. One day my commenting is going to get me in big trouble..Also, Passed elm street, but it wasn't too much of a nightmare.. Haha! Gerrrit?
We took a coach ride over to Conorado Island, which is apparently the Beverly Hills of San Diego.. Went there and houses weren't as impressive as I was expecting- maybe Americans have different standards! We then went to Old Town San Diego, the place where California was born.. Very Mexican themed and this has been my favourite place so far!!
In the night, the gas lamp quarter was calling our names for plenty of drinks.. We went down and it was extremely country! I LOVED it!! We actually mingled with the group.. And met lots of American men.. Curtis is the only name i Remember and him saying he worked at sea world.. They do love the accents.. I got to sit next to Richard, our very American driver and Jack, our hot bald tour guide (haha, girls, you know me and bald men.) Lucky lucky me! We went to a club called Whiskey Girls which was funky and we all "danced our faces off"! I also told a guy that I had four sheep as pets in Wales and he believed me.. Now my nickname is bo beep.. It's better than Binge I suppose!!
Woke up stupidly early on Thursday with the news that little bro had got into Cardiff Uni to do Psychology, which made me a very proud big sister :) .. Pretty sure Soph was still hammered as in the afternoon she could hardly remember the morning.. Sounds slightly familiar of mine and Josie's experience in Koh Panghan.
Thursday we had a busy day.. We went to San Diego Zoo, Party Zoo to see Marcel!! It was so much fun.. Seen lots of animals, which is sort of the purpose of a zoo. Taught Elena some things as she didn't know the difference between a panda and a polar bear.. Actually embarrassed to be friends with her! Went on a gondola ride over the hyped up Panda exhibit.
After, we went to Mission Beach for a bit of sun catching.. Thank god as my tan faded slightly in Aus so back on the case in the U S of A! Mission Beach is a really pretty beach but the water is freaking freezing!
In the evening, we went to a baseball game.. We were supporting Padres and we all decided to wear our American Tops but ended up looking like tools.. Ahhhhhhh well it's all fun and games! Our team won!! All they needed was a bit of Welsh Luck.. The girls had their picture taken with their hot dogs and soda.. Very American! We seen kiss cam and all our group was on the big screen..
Got in a taxi to Pacific Ocean and thought we were going to die as the driver was insane.. We taught him what mofo was, and he started shouting it out the window at everyone.. Think he wanted us dead to be honest as the looks we were getting from people were not good! We planned to have a quiet one.. But the insane taxi driver got us all in pumped up moods so ended up getting extremely drunk yet again.. Mingled a bit more with the group, danced like a loony & met a very very hot model/actor - well so he reckoned.. One step closer to marrying a celebrity! Haha! Also had some shots bought for us- the Americans are big on tequila.. That doesn't bode well the morning after! The bar we went to was called typhoon saloon.. The name pretty much sums it up and was an awesome night all round!
Day 3 of trip is travel day taking us to our second state of the trip, Arizona.. On our way toooooo Scottsdale, Pheonix. And Jeh-sus its roasting.. Never felt heat like it!! Its ridiculously hot.. Its basically just a desert with lizards running around! Tannage on. Got Elena next to me sleeping.. And we've named her the Churchill, the nodding dog.. As that's what she looks like when she's sleeping! Anywaaaays. Update you in a couple :)
