Copenhagen is just so fabulous we had to hit it up again. This time we were on a more specific shopping mission. Lasse wanted some DVDs and Christina needed a dress for an upcoming event, so we hit the shopping street and did our boy/girl things.
Then we paused for a pastry break. And you better believe I had me a 'danish' in Denmark. Of course here they have many names, the vanilla cream one was fab, but my fav was the cinnamon one (kanelsnegle). Flaky, sweet and just damn good. The rum balls and logs were amazing too, oh and the strawberry tart... Nomnomnom. I'm getting seriously chubbs here. It's wonderful.
Then we headed over to Tivoli (where Christina works) to take in the park and the rides. Lasse was excited to have a partner in crime that would try anything and so we did this crazy plane that does a full circle and pulls about 3G's or something. It is tough to explain here, but it was very high and very spinny. Then we did the Golden Tower drop, even higher and a great view of Copenhagen and it scared the crap out of me. Then we all tried the Dæmon roller coaster, followed by super high swings and a 150 year old wooden coaster, all of which were totally awesome.
Tivoli is an incredibly beautiful place right in the middle of the city with so much to offer. From Michelin starred restaurants to an aquarium, rides, games and beautiful gardens. I highly recommend it!!!
And we finished the day with some awesome Asian food (and my Danes both got to try tofu) and then home for pet food and animated movies. I've been singing the Lego Movie song all week and now I have it stuck in Christina and Lasse's head too. G'times. Everything IS awesome.
