Our day started this morning with a quick bus ride to the meeting of Rotary Club of Mazatlan A.C . Some members of the Oriente club also joined us. It was a great opportunity to meet all of our Rotary friends and take part in a Rotary meeting.Of course it also involved breakfast and lots of good coffee. Some presentations were made and we got a group photograph.
We then hit the road with Colleen's Navigator, the handi bus and Pepe,s car enroute 250 km to the north to present a fire truck in the city of Navolato. We arrivedat their fire station where the bomberos, Navolato Rotarians and community members were all waiting. The bomberos had cleaned up the truck over the last couple of days to factory condition- it was great to see.The bomberos and the fire truck were even blessed with holy water by the local priest. We found out that the Fire Department had been tracking our progress on this website.Following the presentations, we headed to a resort on Isla Cortes for lunch at a beautiful resort on the beach. Then back to the vehicles to return to Mazatlan.
We were behind schedule, so we drove straight to La Casa Country restaurant for dinner where we were entertained by line dancing waiters.Tab and Lori got nice foil hats in honour of their anniversary and Pepe had a birthday cake - and a foil hat.By then, everyone was ready for some sleep in preparation for our 8:30 start tomorrow.
