Today started with a sleep in followed by breakfast outside in the country watching the red squirrels. Couldn't ask for a better start.
We had a bit of a tour ahead of us today, we were heading up around Inverary then back down to Tarbert followed by the ferry to Portavadie and back up to Glendaruel.
First port of call was Inverary, beautiful wee place on the water. We stopped in an the castle an awesome castle had a walk around the grounds. Then went into the small twon centre and had a bit of a morning snack and cup of tea. Went to see the Inverary jail but Graham and Melissa managed to escape LOL. A lot of bikes around these roads which got me a bit jealous:(
Once we left Inverary we headed down to a place callled Tarbet where we had lunch. Another awesome seaside town. Stopped in at a nice little restaurant. Thank-you very much Kathlen and Jim for lunch:)
Had a nice wee walk around the town followed by a drive further around the coast.
Once back to Tarbet we caught the ferry to Portavadie. Once off the ferry we had a walk around the marina where there was once a boat from Dunkirk berthed. Nice quiet spot (mind you this whole area is nice and quiet).
Back home to Glendurel for tea and a rest. Graham had to leave us this night as he had work on monday. Kathlen and Jim kindly let us stay another night which was very kind of them. Very lovely people.
Leaving the country tommorrow which is gonna be sad.

mum Soounds like a great way to start the day. Your holiday is going so fast.
Kathleen & Jim halley We have since discovered that the small boat, used at Dunkirk and berthed at Portavadie marina, is actually involved in the Jubilee celebrations on the Thames. A pity you didn't see it!
