So this was our last day/morning on Nusa Lembongan, before heading back to the Bali mainland. Having got up and packed up all our bags, we went next door and had the epic 4/5 course breakfast. We had planned on staying on the island until 3pm, but unfortunately we weather was pretty bad - very windy and wet. In the end we made the call, and decided we would take the 10:30am boat back instead, as the weather was showing no sign of letting up.
We checked out the hotel, collected up our bags, and after some amount of faffing and misunderstanding got a lift down to the boat stop.
The journey back was quite clearly not going to be the plain sailing it had been on the way there - there was a fair amount of swell about, and the onshores had put plenty of chop on the water. The first half of the journey as pretty bouncy as expected, but once we were in the more sheltered water off Sanur it was just as calm as the trip over. Ironically the weather was just starting to clear as we landed on the beach too.
We were then picked up by our taxi man from a few days before at the 'port' in Sanur, and headed for Candidasa - about an hours drive up the coast. The route had some lovely scenery etc, and for me it was especially nice to be in new territory.
On arriving in Candidasa, we were taken to the hotel/Homestay we had actually been reccomended whilst in Lembongan. It was a heck of a place! Each room was its own little out building with seriously luxury furnishing and ensuit. They centred around a nice garden and ornimenral fish pond, with a path taking you down to the Infinity Pool + sun loungers, over looking the ocean.
By the time we were all moved in etc, it was about 1pm. We had lunch by the pool, and spent the rest of the afternoon just lounging around and reading our books (I have just started a new Chris Ryan book called 'Firefight'). The most eventful thing which happened was Mum had a massage.
In the evening we had a pretty good dinner and cocktails at the little resteraunt there, before I went off to bed knakered leaving Mum and Dad organising a hotel for the Volcano and Ubud.
