Today has been suuuuch a lazy day! We got up about 8:30pm after a pretty awesome sleep, chilled out for a bit, then decided to go off for breakfast. We found what appeared to be the most luxurious place on the sea front, with an epic breakfast menu. We went in and found out you could get an epic 4 course meal for $5!
Me, Saskia and Joey ended up going for the American Breakfast which was the following; Tea+fresh fruit juice, banana pancakes, a selection of toast and pastries, eggs+bacon+tomatoes+potatoes with a fruit salad to finish. It was the best breakfast EVER!
Matt decided to go all out, and get a cheese burger for breakfast...which we let him off for as it was about 9:30am.
By the time we we came back 'home' it was about 10:30/11am, and we were all nursing a healthy food baby. There was no surf what so ever, so we all kicked back on the sun loungers and took it super easy. Later on I went on a long snorkelling session with Matt just in bay out front of the place we were staying. The lagoon goes about 300-400m out to the reef, all of which is no deeper than about 3m. We swam amongst the seaweed growing 'gardens' (which Lembongan is renowned for) and the small areas of coral. It was really cool, but there were on really small fish and some big starfish. The water is crystal clear though which is so nice.
Having come back in we repeated the same chilling in the sun process, then just as we had got a plan together to go and scooter round the island a big thunder storm engulfed everything. It last for a few hours, so we retreated back to the cover of the little balcony areas and read books.
By the time it was finished it was about 4:30pm. By then there wasn't enough day light to do much, so we bummed around and decided to go for an early dinner, no one had eaten since breakfast.
We were all so impressed we ended up going back to the same place as this morning. We all had burgers of some description, which were equally as good as breakfast, plus a couple of beers. We were right on the water front again, and there was the most amazing sunset I have seen here yet.
When we came back 'home' after we just had a couple more Bintangs, and vedged out on sun loungers watching the nightly fireworks.
