Writing this very much in the past tense as today it's the 13th and im trying to catch up with my writing.
All I can remember about today is that in the evening we went out to a club with two Brits who we met at the hostel. They hadn't been to a Chinese club so we went to 1+1, the same bar as last time. I love the style of this club. You don't pay to get in, just swan in after the metal detector, find yourself a table and order your drinks from one of the roaming staff. Then you drink and play games with dice till you have made enough friends and feel like dancing. At least that's how it normally is but this time it didn't go quite like that. The guys at the table next to us decided to start a fight with one Chinese guy, throwing bottles at him and it got pretty crazy. So all the people we had met so far that night got kicked out. FAIL.
Then we found out the two Brits we were with had had their iphones lifted and one had lost a credit card too so that was the end of their night. The night was turning sour but we were determined to enjoy ourselves.
So we set out to make new friends. I managed to get the girls who had been walking by smiling at me to come over and we spent the night with them. All was fine till I went to the dance floor with one of the sisters and some Chinese guy tried to cut in. She pushed him away and then when we turned around he decided to blindside me. We scrapped and I learned something important. If the Chinese girl hadn't taken me off the dance floor, almost every guy on the dance was ready to wade in. That's just how Chinese guys do it!
At the end of the night I saw the sisters off into a cab then ended up chatting to some Uzbekistan girls living here in Xi'an. We all went to McDonalds and had some early morning much before heading off home. I had to meet a girl my university has organised for me to spend the mid-autumn festival with her family. Tomorrow I have to meet her. Sounds like it's going to be a long, tiring day.
