Last night got messy. After my first day at class and the desire to do little but study and sleep we started the early evening with a few beers and some pool. It went downhill from there. Four big bottles of beer later and the night really began. A new group of Chinese came into the hostel with a crate of beer and a bottle of baijiu. This stuff is strong! They wanted to drink with us as the only westerners awake so we sat down to some hard and loud drinking. After downing about 3 more big bottles of beer and half a glass of baijiu I was close to done. But the drink kept coming. Wayne was smart and threw up, which is fine here in China but years of drinking has conditioned me to stop myself from throwing up. Well we drank the Chinese guys under the table and then went and chatted to four chinese girls. I don't remember much else but I took myself to bed, ran back out to be sick and then passed out.

So far today has been boring as we woke up late, but hangover free, and have just sat around so im using the time to catch up on my writing. Then ill probably do some study later. Going to go out and get some food in a bit so I can speak chinese at least a bit today. I think the plan is a club tonight with some of the workers here in the hostel that we have got close to. Cant bail on that but I really want to. I was much happier when Meredith was here and we were exploring and chatting to people everyday.
