Well the longest day of the travels was here!!
We checked ourselves out of the guest house about 11ish and managed to get the hotel to look after our bags in their "secure room" (left unlocked) whilst we occupied ourselves till the guide picked us up at 8pm!!
Due to needing some trekking footwear we set off to find them for a cheap price!! We were given the places to look form the tourist information at the guest house - who were rubbish!!! So after 3 hours of shop looking!! not market but shops!! we decided china town was our best bet!! Wrong wrong wrong again!!!
All they sell there is wholesale!! al lyou hear is "olsale olsale"!!! So not needing to have 12 pairs of the same size shoe we pretty much gave up and decided to go for a foot massage!! amazing is not the word!!! Never been so relaxed and so cheap!! 2 quid for an hour!! wohoo!!
Most of the day was wasted on looking for shoes to trek with and then on the way home the taxi got lost and dropped us off where he thought all white people lived pat pong - sleaze town!!! May of been a blessing in desguise as we found some crocs and thought they would do!! crocs for 2 quid a pair!!
So along with our high tech trekking shoes and some slices of pizza back to the guest house to await the guide.
Guide arrived about 8 and said we'd be leaving in 45 mins so sarah and i rushed some food down (not important now but will be) and then set off to the station where a 7 hour overnight trip awaited!! joy of joys!!!
The bus was pretty cool with nearly fully reclining seats but annoying people on it!! a bus co ordinator who whistled the same part of a song about 200 times through ou the night when your trying to sleep, and 2 women who thought they were VIP or something!! Demanding drinks etc!! oh if i had plastic bag!!!
All in all journey was pretty easy going and we arrived the following day at about 5.30am.
