Blog23Hi everyone. This is just a quick note to say we are leaving Carloforte and all its charms to head for Sicily. The Tuna festival has been great fun, the only downside has been having the noise of the fair late into the nights. Some of the street performers at the festival were brilliant, Ellen and Anna particularly enjoyed the puppet show (several times!) and I managed to be the mug from the audience chosen to join in twice! (it didn't seem to matter that I didn't have a clue what was being said.)As you read this Anna will be 3 years old - in her words - 'wow!' she and Ellen have been generally adored here with their blonde hair and painted faces, and their tendency to sing and dance at any opportunity!I can safely say that I have eaten enough tuna for a quite a long time - how every you cook it, it still tastes of tuna!We didn't get around to exploring Sardinia, but we hear from other people that Caroloforte is generally regarded as an undiscovered treasure here, so we don't really mind. We are heading steadily (for steadily read slowly as a snail!) East, and are still planning to spend the summer in Greece. Will let you know how our smooth bottom, mended sail and serviced engines so, will we get our extra half knot………………. (that is the cliff hangar)
