ITALY - DAY 27

We all slept in this morning after our later dinner the evening before. Today we were going to walk around and take streets that we haven't travelled on before. We started off at the Spanish Steps and climbed up. From there we walked along the top to a large garden. We wandered around and then we hired a four pedal, four wheeled bike for an hour and had a great time travelling around the park on it. I had to move from the front seat as I had no control over where we went of when we stopped and I felt like I aged 10 years in the hour.

We went back to the hotel for a rest before heading out around 8:30 to see the Colosseum with lights. It was beautiful. It was great to see this magnificent structure all lit up with lights. What a wonderful way to spend our last night in Rome.

We boarded the train again and got off at Repubilicia station and walked slowly back towards the hotel, stopping to snap photos of anything that caught our eye. We still managed to find several fountains that we hadn't see before. Rome has so much to offer. You just have to walk around to come across wonderful and ancient structures.

Dinner ended up at some ridiculous time of 10:30 with, you guessed it, the girls having pasta yet again. You would think that by now they would be hungry for a nice juicy steak but no give them a plate of pasta and they are as happy as can be.
