After checking out of Albany backpackers - thank god! We first headed to the wind farm for a browse - bit boring to be honest!
Then it was on to the coastal wonders of the gap, the natural bridge and the famous blow holes!!
We then headed to the township of Denmark. Denmark is where Rach the host from my last tour lives and I was feeling a bit gutted that I had not taken her contact tel number so we could meet up. However to my surprise as I walked off the bus in Denmark there Rach was!!!!
We had a spare half hour before lunch so Rach and her friend Julie who is heading to Europe with Rach took us along the shops in Denmark and showed us the highlights. After a final goodbye to Rach and good luck wishes we had lunch.
After lunch we headed to the first real surf beach we have seen called Ocean Beach. Jonas and I quickly ran into the water with body boards to have a go at body boarding. It was a hell of alot of fun and we could have stayed there all afternoon. I managed to catch 2 waves which took me into shore.
Reluctantly after an hour or so we got out of the sea and joined the others on the bus to the next beach stop called Greens Pool. Lovely beach but far too many flies so we did not stop long.
It was then onto the Valley of the Giants to the tree top walk. This walk offered great views of the dense tingle tree canopy. We only had an hour here so the time was a bit rushed but we managed to take lots of fun photos!
It was then onto Pemberton where we stopped for our last challenge of the day at the famous fire tree look out. This bascially involved climbing a tree which was 73 metres high!! Does not sound high but boy it is.
Out of the group only 7 of us made it to the top namely Reg, Jonas, Nat, Tony, Oony and Mudoka and I.
Tonight we stayed inn our very own house - it was like one big family with a kitchen, dining, lounge, various bathrooms and 3 bedrooms - great way to spend our last night
