Arrived in Rio after a 24 hour bus journey where we met some crazy but awesome Rio guys who told us how not to get shot in Rio. The one guy helped us haggle for a taxi at the station, legend. We chilled for the first night and then went out in Lapa on the friday night, this is the street party central in Rio. It´s crazy, everyone`s on the streets dancing and s***, pretty dodgy but we went with a big group so no shootings. Next day we chlled and headed out to Santa Teresa in the evening on a 130 year old train where we hung off the side over bridges and everything, scary s*** haz cacked his pants. Santa Teresa is the art centre where everyone on the streets is really chilled, someone even balanced a guitar on his face, this you gotta see. Random samba bands just break out in song in the streets and s***. We walked down to lapa after this, where I accidentally pissed on a homeless guy, I couldnt see him and when it was too late he started shouting and I ran!. We had a little sit on the Lapa steps (which is in the Snoop Dogg `Beautiful´video) before the homeless and beggers made us feel uncomfortable, moved.

Next day we hit the sights, Christ the redeemer, maracana stadium, cathedral and sugarloaf mountain, check the pics. Pretty cool. We also slipped in a bit of 5am beach time, I even conquered my fear of water and had a dip, good times. Beach time on tueday which was the only sunny day all week. Well worth the trip to Rio awesome crack I tell thee.
