Happnin
We arrived in Buenos Aires after a short 16 hour flight with not a wink of sleep, so we felt like bats on crack! Then we took a mental taxi ride to the hostel which opened our eyes to the crazyiness that is argentine driving, its mental.
Anyway, checked in and had a few beers. After a short strole around the neighbourhood we chilled in the hostel and met some yanks and some other randoms. At midnight we realised we had been up 40 hours so hit the hay big time.
Next day we had a look around the area and headed out in the evening to a banging bar and club, met some cool people including a fit barmaid who harry complimented on her english, to which she replied ´Im american!` This was the highlight of the night. Classic. 6am bed.
Boca Day Sunday. We met up with a couple of yanks who had moved hostels who had arranged to get tickets for the game, the only snag was that we had to go to La Boca and hang out on a street corner waiting for a guy in green (La Boca isnt the best area either) who 20 minutes later arrived and we were ticketed up. The game was crazy, some fans had got hold of an away banner and burned it with an areosol can. The crowd was so rowdy that you could feel the stadium shaking, health and safety in the UK would have a s*** fit here. The fans even aimed fireworks at the away fans as a token of their disdain.
Next day we hit the town, saw all the slights and held onto our wallets on the tube. Buenos Aires is a nice city though so was good times. Later we headed to a bar which played mental spanish music (much like chacaron macaron) before a smashed window and a bar brawl closed the place. 6am bed.
More of the same on tuesday, chilled in the day and went out in the night. Haz had his camera stolen from his pocket which was an anticlimax. 6am bed.
Good times so far.
