Europe in a Backpack
If you notice the picture attached to this entry, that is where we went today. A much needed day of rest and relaxation was in order after travelling so much in the last ten days. They are called the Gellert Baths and are on the Buda side of the Danube river. That picture is of the indoor swimming pool. They also have an outdoor pool with thermal baths attached. Inside, the thermal baths are a milky white color and very very hot. But so relaxing, I felt like one of the old people in the movie Cacoon when they all go to the pool and feel 20 years younger. They have two seperate thermal baths for women and men because everybody chooses to go commando. We spent about 3 hours floating in the baths and reflecting on everywhere we have been so far. Budapest is our new favorite city as they just get better and better each day. We have also come to the realize that hungary has the largest amount of beautiful women in Europe. I think our jaws have been dragging on the ground all week just being around all of them. Too bad for that whole language barrier because none of them speak any english. One awkward thing about this city is all the public displays of affection. It is supposed to be the Paris of eastern europe from what we hear but people just don't even care. Two old people were making out hard core right in the middle of the thermal baths and everyone around acted like nothing was happening. Interesting to see. One more night in Budapest and then on to Vienna. Ciao, Cole and Chris.
