Hello everyone!
What a night Monday was...it was the Neighbours Trivia Night! Everybody needs good Neighbours lol. We set off for the night out via mini bus with many other English people. A lot of the Aussies don't like Neighbours so it was no surprise to see a room full of good old English people when we arrived. However...out of all the people there I reckon about 90% were female! Not that we were complaining :-). On route to the Bar, the driver told us that tonight it would be Paul Robinson, Steph Scully and Toadie! Not a bad three ball. The 'show' was due to start at 8.45 and when we got there it was only 7.00pm so with a bar only feet from our table we were in heaven! So after a few drinks, the atmosphere started and all the girls kept singing the theme tune (that was quite embarrassing!) and so it was time for the stars to enter one by one! And after a little question and answer time, each one came round to your table for a cheeky little chat and to take a few pictures. Steph came round first...and oh my god she is GORGEOUS! Definately the best Scully. And I told her too! Paul Robinson bowled over next and we asked him about his days in the hit series 'Dream Team' and what it was like to canoodel with Linda Block! All us four (including Andy) were very jealous! And whats the deal with Toadie losing loads of weight...get back on those pies pal. It was really cool meeting them all, but without doubt the highlight was Steph (or as I call her now the future Mrs Moore lol). After my two mates (Toadie and Paul) and the Mrs (Steph) left the bar turned into a mini club. And being fueled up with a few beers in my belly it was time to get on that dancefloor and have a good time. Great Night...wish you all could have been there!
The next morning we checked out of our hostel before 10am (because we wanted our $10 deposit back lol) with heavy heads due to having hardly any sleep again. So it was Goodbye to Melbourne and hello to the Great Ocean Road. It was a great road trip, loads of amazing views again. But because we were driving by the cliffs, it did turn into some really tight corners (I thought I was a rally driver). But Abi performed well and by the end of the day Im sure she wanted to go round the track again. We stopped off at Apollo Bay for some lunch (which looked a lot like Summer Bay) and the food was amazing again. We also saw the twelve apostles, the Ostway Rainforest and the London Bridge (which was basically a rock that looked like London Bridge). We drove about 600kms before finding a Caravan Park in Warrmanbool. We had earlier brought a 4 man tent so it was time to unwrap our home for the night! After a few wrong choices, Mr D.I.Y (me) came through again and within minutes the tent was up, and it was lucky too because the sun was disapearring. We were sooo tired from a longs day driving and a late night so we soon tried to get some shut eye. But not before an all you can eat extravaganza in the local bistro...lovely! In the tent later on however, it was pretty damn cold in there so more layers had to be worn and we had hundreds of birds above our tent making strange noises for what seemed hours. But we soon got some sleep...eventually! We woke up with very sore backs :-) and hopefully by the end of today we will arrive in Adelaide. So speak soon everyone
