We returned home to a warm welcome from family and friends, but felt a short 2-3 week break at the family beach shack in the Royal National Park was in order (like we hadn't been on holidays long enough!). So after 2 days unpacking the camper and getting a bit of washing out of the way, down the track we went.
We have seen some amazing beaches in our travels, but sitting back at the shack, cracking that first beer, taking in that familiar view... yep, it sure is good to be home!
The next couple of weeks were spent catching up with friends we hadn't seen for the past 12 months. Lee dusted off the surfboard for a few long-awaited waves, and also reacquainted himself with the local fish population, which made for some yummy couscous-and-bread-crumbed fish fillet meals.
Easter saw the beach fill up, a 4 day weekend is more than enough excuse for people to get away down to their shacks, so anyone we'd missed was soon caught up with at one of the surf club functions.
At the end of Easter, Lee reluctantly got in touch with his boss as, alas, it was time to go back to work!
