Much later first blog entry than I had planned but there are several reasons behind that. The last four days have been eventful to say the least. Dangerously tired after being up for near enough 72 hours straight, Charlie and I finally made it to Queenstown together despite being on different flights until Sydney. Arriving in a sweaty Singapore, worrying if Charlie had been swallowed up by Bangkok was hardly the nicest experience not to mention sitting in Singapore airport with only Singaporians for company and wisdom, hoping I make the connecting flight to Queenstown. At the time a stiff drink seemed like such a good idea but once we got to Queenstown we were even too tired for that. The rest of the flights went fairly smoothly with the only disturbance being my name announced on the speaker system to the entire Sydney airport. After working out how to use a public bus we made it to Nomads hostel and Queenstown at last. Everything was fine until I decided to get food poisoning, leaving me in our room at Nomads for 31 hours straight being horrendously sick, although Charlie was a hero in looking after me. Feeling nowhere near 100% I set off with Charlie to one of the world's highest bungy sites and the world's highest bungy swing (The Nevis). I've attached the pictures and videos of this experience, the videos being a particular highlight. Despite it being terrifying it was the most amazing thing we've ever done and I'd recommend it to anybody brave enough. We hope the pictures and videos provide some amusement. Getting ready to leave Nomads this morning and go on the Shotover Jet boat before an afternoon taking pictures in Queenstown as we leave for Christchurch tomorrow. Will get the pictures up tomorrow of Queenstown. Thought for now an update would be appreciated back home and a note to say we are alive, just about.
