Hi all....

Heading to Argentina and then Chile for a 10 day short trip.... all is well here in Barranquilla. The city is a buzz with the arrival of Carnival mid Feb.. stands are being put up along the route and all the stores have started decorating and as you can see from the pics the costumes are amazing.

The Carnival of Barranquilla begins four days before Ash Wednesday and reaches its peak the following Saturday during the Batalla de las Flores (battle of the flowers), where the gaiety and color of the Colombians come face to face in a unique battle of color, flowers, beauty, and peace.

Its an amazing scene having the city come alive with color... The Barranquilla Carnival is the second biggest canival festival in South America..( of course you all know Rio is the biggest)... Cant wait to get back and be apart of it
