Hi all … ive settled in and getting used to the life style here…. Maria, her family and friends have been great… all those rumours about Colombia are so not true… everyone is so friendly and helpful… there are some shady looking guys but you get that everywhere…I'm getting looks from everyone.. Maybe it's the bald head or it could be the white legs.. just don't stand out to much and you'll be fine.

Have got the apartment, which I will call home for the next 2 months…it's a great place in a great neighbourhood…. I have a couple of extra beds so if your in the vicinity, drop on in… I have a few coldies in the fridge…hehehe

Temperature wise… high 20's to low 30's everyday… its like Cairns in Australia… humidity is high here and am slowly adapting to it… I know what will happen, as soon as I hit Melbourne I'm going to be freezing my t*** off

I've put up some photos of a trip to Cartagena which an hour drive west of Barranquilla… beaches are beautiful.. it's a little like Bali where you get the locals trying to sell you everything… Just ignore them and your ok… I did by a carton of ciggies for $16 (Aus), which is what I pay for one…

All in all , taking it all in and loving the experience… have started to look at flights to other countries in South America… catch up soon
