Colombia is amazing… Where I'm staying in Barranquilla, is what I call the real Colombia… not many tourist here and can experience the way the people of Colombia live their lives….I was chatting with the landlord the other day and he said something that summed it up perfectly…He said " most people in Colombia are poor and don't have a lot of money but a very happy with life"… its an amazing thing to experience …. You walk along the suburban streets at night and there is music, people singing and dancing and its not even carnival yet. Can't wait to see what happens when that comes along.
Life is going real well….I have planned my trip to Argentina and Chile for early Feb and looking forward to catching up with some mates who are flying over… one of Maria's aunties can speak English and I found it weird and a relief speaking with her. Weird as in listening to the English language again and a relief in not having to think about what to say in Spanish and how to say it
My salsa technique definitely needs improving…. Went out dancing with Maria and friends and learnt a couple of new moves but move a bit to slow for the Salsa…. Need to find me a Salsa school!!
Have also enrolled in a Volunteer group to help local school kids and hope to get a gig when I return from Chile
