End of day 9, 1st of July.
What a dump this hotel is. I've been eaten alive by mozzies. It's so hot you have to open the windows just to get the room down to a bearable temperature. No aircon, and no fly screens. f*** me.
I must have walked under a ladder in a dream because over the course of the day I have cut my little toe open on a log, and seem to be coming down with a cold. Have to push through for another 3 days.
Left the dump and went and saw Eva and Audres castle in Csutsa. Well, it's really a small castle that she is recovering into an art gallery, a new building for old people to holiday in, and a huge 300 year old weat barn that they renovated years ago into a hotel type building. It's massive and still partly original. Pretty cool to see.
They took us to a market and insisted on buying something for all of us. She is very insistent, and the market is very crap so I apologise about my choice of gifts.
Had lunch at a restaurant, and then said our goodbyes. From there Gobi and Argi drove us to a few different places around lake Bolotone. It's really nice. Reminds me of Portsea front beach. Lots of beaches, running tracks and bars, the the big rolling hills in the background where everyone lives.
Mum took me to the winery on top of a huge hill where she took her grandmother in 1968. At that time there was an old maniquan of an old peasant woman in the restaurant entrance. Back then mum had to look twice as she thought it was her grandmother. Well we found it. It's been relegated to the entrance of the toilets now. Still in good shape however.
From there we slowly made our way home. All up most of the day I spent in the car. 5 people and the aircon blasting full blast. Very uncomfortable and hot. Dad fell asleep in the front and started snoring. Com. We all made fun of him.
Back in Mor now at Gobi and Argi's house. Time to get ready as tomorrow we are off to Budapest.
