Hot Weather!
Its been a good last week as the weather has been lovely & warm most of the time, this is what I'm here for! I met up with my best friend Donna, her husband Andrew, there 3 year Joni-Kate & Donna's mum & dad May & Donnie over the weekend which was really lovely as they were on a short stop on there way to New Zealand. It was good to see people from back home & hear whats been happening! I had a fabulous time with them, drinking, dining & going on trips with them which they wouldn't let me pay for.
In preparation, of there arrival into Sydney I put in a couple bottle of wine into there room to celebrate there first visit to Australia & left a card just to let them know it was from me.When I had met them they told me they hadn't received anything so I let rip at the manager so they have got complementry upgrades in there next hotel but I was soo annoyed at the Crowne Plaza as the service was shockingly poor! Anyway, I hope the rest of there stay in NZ would be lovely, they even invited me to stay with them in a huge house they are staying in at the Bay of Islands which even has a boat attached. Really lovely people & the best freinds you could ask for!
We stayed alot of the time down Darling Harbour as they have lots to do for children there & littel Joni-Kate loved the carousel & the boats there, she was great, such a happy child & content. We went on a cruise, though the weather turned a little nasty though by this tiem we had had a few drinks & didn't care, we also went to the Wildlife place where Joni got her photo taken with a Koalo.
The rest of my time, I have spent at the gym, I know very sad. Last night, Friday night in Sydney I spent 1 hour on the cross trainer then done some weights as I'm not sure I told you that on New Year, it was raining & I fell down the stairs & damaged my back so haven't been able to run since, though abeit was due to copious amounts of alcohol . Also I went to Taronga zoo with my friend Jenni which was great & from there you get some of the best views of the City, Harbour Bridge & Opera House - beautiful! Oh, & I was thinking what to do with the rest of my life when I saw an elephant, & though i'd spend it learning it how to jump! As seemingly it is the only land mammel that can't, so that would be great as they would have to re-write all the books
I also went to Coogee beach the other day with my friend Debs, & met her friend Kylie (not Minogue) & her boyfriend Arron who took me up to the life saving tower & wanted to take me out on the surf boats. then we went for a walk in Coogee, it seemed a really nice place to live but its too far from the city.
Tomorrow, I head to Tasmania with Jenni to tour around which should be fun as I hear Tas is very beautiful!
