No breakfast and no dinner today. No not an emergency diet - too late for that. Simply necessity as we went for the lunch buffet at the MGM.
We ate sushi, sashimi, clams, King prawns, mussels, lobster claws, dim sum, lamb stew, chicken stew, fried rice, eel salad, turkey salad, Asian greens, deep fried fish (with head), unpronounceable Japanese dish, cheese, bread, a large selection of cakes and finally David insisted on grapes to make it healthy. Now we know you're thinking that list was between us but most of that was each. Delicious.
Then rolled our barrel shaped bodies on the sun loungers one last time.
Caught the free bus to the Venetian so we could revisit the Old Taipa Tavern. It was jumping. It's Friday night and like the UK it's bank holiday here for the Chinese.
We diverted to the Galaxy casino to catch a different free bus back to Macau peninsular. We thought we would check out their MaCallen bar and were amazed by how fantastic it was. This one was Scottish themed complete with huge whisky selection, waitresses in short kilts, antler light fittings, a live singer and a roaring fire balanced out with air con of course. David's enjoying a traditional Scottish ale from Germany and some hot nuts. Typical last night in a place you find a humdinger of a bar.
Finished the night in the Cathedral Cafe our favourite, the owner told us we were later than normal; feels like we are locals already.
