Hey everyone, We're now in Coffs after having a stopover in Port Macquarie for a couple of days. While we were in Port we went to the koala hospital and saw lots of koalas being nursed back to health. Lots of people get disappointed with there being so few koalas there but I think they muct forget that its actually a hospital not a zoo, so the fewer koalas there are, the better!!! We also saw the Australian National Ironman championship, all these crazy dudes had to swim 3.8km, then ride 180km and then run 42.2km!!!! By the time they got to the running part, most people looked pretty knackered! So in Coffs, we've had a bit of a watersports fest. Yesterday was a 3hr surfing lesson, both of us were standing within half an hour. Matt, our instructor, taught us loads of really interesting things so we both feel confident enough to battle with the big guys in the sea!! This afternoon we had an intro to scuba diving in the hostel's swimming pool. It was pretty scary having to breathe through the regulator. Still not convinced about that one. Then tomorrow we're going to hire some snorkelling gear and go and try to find Nemo's family, and Nemo himself hopefully! Coffs is one of the best places to dive and snorkel in Oz, so it should be good. We'll try to put some piccies on next week sometime fingers crossed. Lots of love as always xxxxxxxxxx
