Dan and Lu's Travels
Had a big brunch from stalls in the atrium sitting area in the hotel and looked through Leah's photos she'd printed off.
Had a wander near the hotel and then it was time to say goodbye to Leah! Can't believe how fast it went, but will be seeing her at home in a few weeks so it wasn't too upsetting! Thank you for a fabulous weekend Leah, and for treating me to luxury in the Hudson!
I got a cab to the Upper West Side to check into our hostel, which was actually quite cool, was expecting a shock after the Hudson but the street is full of lovely old buildings and we have a private room so its OK.
Dropped everything off and went to meet dan from the Greyhound at the Port Authority bus terminal on 42nd Street.
Got the subway back up to 96th street and went for a drink at a bar nearby. The area is cool, like everywhere in NYC there are delis and fruit shops open until all hours, as well as bars and cafes and restaurants.
We then hopped on the subway and went down to the West Village, and went to a few bars there. That area looked seemed cool too. Everywhere is different to each other but relatively close together too. I love this city!
