Start as you mean to go on... Right?
Let's hope not.
Getting to Auckland didn't exactly go to plan but the key thing is that I am finally here. So where did it all start to go wrong...
After a massive night out which ticked off a couple of firsts from my list (supporting the krauts being one of them: trust me, if they had won the party would have been insane!) I woke up a little disorientated in the early afternoon and was suddenly aware that my flight to Sydney was much sooner that I had realised! Cue a lot of rushing and plenty of hand signals trying to ask for a taxi to the airport (after I found out the train I wanted to take wasn't working- I should have seen it as an omen!)
To cut a long story short: my first flight took it's sweet time getting out of Shanghai before taking an age taxiing on arrival in Sydney so i missed my connection. Luckily I got a flight not long after but of course that meant my baggage didn't quite make the leap with me.
Anywho, arrived at my hostel and met up with Josh, Shil and Gav. We headed downstairs to profit from a free bar that lasted all of ten minutes and then watched shil dominate the pool table and win us another 5 free pints. Sweet.
