Last night was cold, really really cold. Nadia's inflatable mattress also developed a very small hole so she was a little uncomfortable but we both managed to get a bit of sleep. We cooked our breakfast over a fire, which also helped us to get warm in the morning. Luckily, the sun came out and the day became very pleasant.
We went to the Old Faithful lodge to shower. On the way we had to stop several times to let herds of Bison cross in front of us. You do not argue with a Bison! Once we got to Old Faithful we took the opportunity to watch it's performance and take a walk around some of the other Geysers and hot springs. Despite the smell of sulfur, they are an awesome sight and it's amazing to think they have existed for thousands of years.
After our shower, we went to a couple of the shops in Yellowstone to find a few things we needed for our sudden change in climate. None of the stores had what we wanted, so we headed out to West Yellowstone, a town just outside the park. There, we found a set of thermals for each of us, and an inflatable mattress that was big enough for both of us to sleep comfortably.
Once we got back to camp we went for a short walk in the area behind our campsite, where we spotted a Red-Tailed Hawk, then we had tea and got ready for a hopefully much more comfortable night's sleep.
