Today we started off by heading to the Buffalo Bill Museum and Grave site which is in the outskirts of Denver. It was a very rainy morning and the mountains we were driving through were enveloped in cloud but the museum was very interesting and the grave site was moving. Buffalo Bill was certainly an interesting figure, who achieved enough to be famous by the time he was 25, but became a legend through show business and some tall stories written by comicbook-style authors who had little regard for the truth.
We then had a long drive through Colorado, Wyoming and into South Dakota before arriving at Mount Rushmore. The story of Mount Rushmore and the determination of the artist and workers is almost more impressive than the monument itself. But then you look at the four presidents again.
The Burger Diaries Pt 4.
We both had burgers at Wendys for lunch. Nadia had a fairly standard 1/4 pound burger and Damien had a grilled chicken burger. Both were quite tasty but nothing special, fries were nice, especially since they are a little fatter than shoe-string, but not steak fries. We needed something quick for lunch and this certainly did the trick.
