This morning we both awoke thinking the other was snoring extremely loudly. A quick look outside the tent windows explained the noise - a largish herd of Bison walking through the campground! Last night was cold, really really cold. Nadia's inflatable mattress also developed a very small hole so she was a little uncomfortable but we both managed to get a bit of sleep. We drove from Spearfish, South Dakota (near Mt Rushmore) towards Yellowstone. We were again struck by the changing landscapes as we drove through the country. This time we were heading back West and drove through some rolling farmland, snowy mountains and some bizarre moon-like hills.
