We started out by heading to Gas Town, a historical area of Vancouver that was restored. We really enjoyed the area last time but unfortunately we felt it had become very touristy this time around. Its still good to read about some of the buildings and history but we moved on pretty quickly. We then walked to Canada Place which is right on the water. We admired some of the very large and fancy cruise ships that are docked there.
The waterfront is really pretty with a long pathway all the way to Stanley Park. Lots of office workers were taking their lunch hour jogs as we wondered along the path. Vancouver is apparently known for its large population of dogs, and we saw quite a few of them today.
The weather started to cool as the afternoon continued, so we made our way back to the hotel and watched ice hockey on TV. Nadia is still a little taken aback by the level of contact allowed in this sport but it is exciting to watch. We headed to dinner at an Indian restaurant across from our hotel for a really good meal.
