We had a 1.30pm flight home today so there was no hurray to get organized. Jase brought a pile of brochures over for me to pack in my case - phew were they heavy, hope they don't make the cases overweight!
We paid our bills and put the suitcases into storage at the hotel and then headed off for some breakfast and then had a wander about Wan Chai. We walked some of the streets we hadn't been on, but most of the shops were still shut - the area is old but quite clean and presentable - and then we sat and watched some basketball being played in the local park.
We had ordered a shuttle bus pick up to get back to the airport and we had to be ready at 10.45am so we walked back to the hotel and duly caught bus which took us via a few hotel pickups and the undersea tunnel to Kowloon and then on to the airport. It took ages as we continually had to wait for people!
We checked in - luckily the bags were ok - and caught the train to our departure lounge (that's how big this airport is) - having to go through two lots of security on the way!
I used the last of my HK dollars to buy a pressie for Rach and we shopped a bit before getting our boarding call - through another security check!
Our flight home passed by a huge electrical storm - the lightening was amazing! But was otherwise uneventful and we got back to Perth right on time to be met by Mumsie and Katie.
Overall it was a very interesting and enjoyable trip. The Expos were simply amazing and Honk Kong was a very nice place to visit - the food and booze ultra cheap and the shopping fantastic!
