Brisbane was only just over an hour away from Surfers Paradise so the journey on the grey hound was quick and stress free. So, leaving rainy Byron Bay behind we arrive in beautiful sunny Surfers Paradise. We were picked up from the bus station and taken to our hostel which on the outside looked like a youth offenders institute, however and the inside was amazing!! 3rd February: After seeing everyting Sydney has to offer, the time has come to move onto the next destination, Byron Bay. Byron Bay is known for its bohemian atmosphere and hippie lifestyle so i was excited to experience this kind of community. However the 13 hour bus journey i was not looking forward to.
