Two words for Venice: gorgeous and expensive! We got there and decided not to stay on the Island. It was amazing, but everything was pretty full or really expensive. We decided to hop on the train back inland to another major city, Padova. We ended up staying in a really nice hotel and had an awesome Italian dinner... our last in fact! The next day, we went to check out the city. By this point, we were pretty done with walking around and decided to get a bus pass to see the city a little quicker. It was a day pass on the for the buses on the water! It was awesome. We made it to St. Mark's square and decided to get a lost in the tiny streets and explore a little bit. Then we hopped back on the boat and stopped off some where else to roam around again. We decided to find this little Gelateria that we found the first night. We needed to have one last taste of pizza and gelato! Our overnight train didn't leave until after 10 that night, so we got back on the bus and saw Venice at night. There were so many gongola's out with the guys singing. Then we passed under the Rialto bridge at night, which was beautiful! Unfortunately, we had to take off to head out to Munich for the Oktoberfest... so our Venice sight seeing was short and sweet.
