LONDON BABY! and no that did not get annoying at all! Kevin and I actually stayed outside of London city in St. Albans. This old city has a lot of Roman history and was worth spending our whole first day there. Every Wednesday, they have an outdoor market with everything from fruit and bread to clothes and accessories. We bought a fresh loaf of bread and some peaches and walked to St. Albans Cathedral. It was rather extrodinary, but a lot of it was under construction inside so it was hard to see a lot of it. Right next it was the primary school and large park. We walked through there and made our way down to the river. Along side the river, we found the oldest running pub in all of Britian called the Fighting Cock. We ended up having dinner there later with Kevin´s cousins. After that, we walked back to Laressa´s place (Kevin´s cousin). On the way back, we walked over an old bridge that had a landmark explaining how it was built by the Romans to get into the city things like this made our walk through St. Albans very enjoyable.
The following day we headed down to the Westminster Abbey. As Kevin described it, it was full of a lot of clutter. There was so much to see and it was all jammed in there. It was pretty cool to see all the monuments and learn a little bit about the events that have taken place in the Abbey throughout history. There is so much tradition there that is still practiced today. Right next to the Abbey is the Big Ben, but we didn´t get to hear the bells ring because they are being cleaned. We decided to hop on a boat and take it down to the London Tower Bridge and the Tower of London to see the crown jewels. It was a quick boat ride there, but on the way we saw the London Aquarium, the London Eye, the Shakespear Museum, and some other buildings with awesome architecture. I really enjoyed London and would´ve enjoyed staying longer, but it was really expensive so we only spent a couple nights there.
