In only one day, we walked through the Catacombs, went to the Eiffel Tower, saw the Arc de Triumph, walked by the Hotel De Ville and where they had a large screen playing the rugby game and a lawn area for people to sit and watch it, then went to the Cathedral of Notre Dame. It was the most amazing day of the trip up to that point. It was cheap to get a day pass on the Metro, which made it really easy to get all over Paris to see it all. The World Cup 2007 for Rugby is held in Paris and there were swarms of people every where. The easiest group of people to spot were the Scottish. We found out they were actually there for the France/Scottland futbol game. The most memorable was seeing them in the park surrounding the Eiffel Tower playing soccer in there kilts. It was finally confirmed more that once that they do not where anything under their kilts.
That night we decided to go to a pub full of the Scottish because they seemed to be a lot of fun. We made friends with a couple of them and headed to Pub St. Michel for a little Kareoke. Kevin and I sang summer lovin (requested by our Scottish friend who thought we were a couple). Later I sang Hotel California with a couple fo the Scottish. It was the best night!
The following day was spent in the Louvre. It was way too big to see in one day. We were able to see the Mona Lisa and some other great pieces of art, both paintings sculptures. We decided we were going to go back there to see more of the Louvre and enjoy more of the city life in Paris... you just can´t beat it!
