Dublin...wow! It's a major city and brings all types of people to the area. Our first day spent in Dublin was walking around just trying to stay awake. We didn't want to sleep right away because we wanted to adjust to the time zone as quickly as possible. Because of this, that whole day was a blur. On Sunday, there was a huge Gaelic futbol match in Dublin vs Kerry. We followed to croud down to Dublin stadium and watched the match in a pub with the locals. This was our first encounter with true Irish in one of the most important sporting events for the country. It would be like watching the World Series of the Dodgers and the Giants, or maybe the Yankees and the Mets. Either way, it was a huge event and we were right around the corner from the stadium.
The night-life in Dublin was much more eventful than the day time. The first night we went to a pub in Temple Bar area and there was a live band playing Irish music... fiddle and all. The second night, we hung out on the river and talked and watched some interesting people walk by. We headed back to the Temple Bar area and met some more drunk and even more interesting people. My favorite was this Irish guy who thought all people from California were gangsters. He proceeded to tell us that he was an Irish rapper named G Dogg!! hahaha!! It was hilarious!
