Fans. friends, family, Rachel Hill & FBI, we apologise for not blogging for a few days. The past two days have been action packed, with a near robbery, another day in London & yet another great night at The Live Room.
All the fun started yesterday at lunchtime. We were on our way to Morrisons (The Local Supermarket) to buy ourselves a pork belly for lunch. We located the supermarket thanks to some very accurate directions from some very helpful locals. Later on in the afternoon we were kicking our rugby ball around, when we ran into our newfound friends again courtesy of a classic Luke Course pick up line. This turned out to be a blessing in disguise, because whilst we were engaging in pleasant conversation, a local gang decided to join the party. The gang, which consisted mainly of dark coloured locals, declared that they had intentions of robbing us. However as it turned out, Bekki, one of our new friends, knew one of the gang members and managed to bail us out of the situation. We learned two things from this situation- A)women can be useful after all and B)we need to be more aware of our surrounds.
Later that night we ventured to The Live Room once again, with the usual success. Tuesday night is Original Music Night, and we saw some great artists. The pick of the bunch was Rose Hart, an English hip hop artist who we loved and had the whole crowd bouncing like bed-strings on a honeymoon. We met an Aussie ex-pat who bought us drinks all night and kept us entertained. Prank of the night was awarded to myself, for my effort trying to hook Matt up with a 50 year old woman who was old enough to be his grandma. I organised for a shot (of water) to be delivered to this cougar, courtesy of Matt. She proceeded to stand up on her bar stool and serenade Matt from across the bar. Matt soon disappeared, hiding under the bar, as he attempted to rid himself of this burden. Much to my dismay, Grandma Kathy realised it was in fact me that "bought" the drink......(I would like to leave the story at that)
Today we came face to face with not only David Beckham, but also Brad Pitt & Shrek. This of course was at Madame Tussauds Wax Museum. We got photos with all the stars of today and yesteryear, as well hooking up with Miley Cyrus.
We then ventured to Covent Garden, where there is a market, shops, restaurants and plenty of entertainment. We sat down to watch one certain street performer, before being caught off guard when we were both invited up to help him get onto his 3 metre tall unicycle. AS per usual we lapped it all up, loving the attention and having a ball.
As we are both very tired from the days efforts, we will be off to bed now. We might even sleep.....
